Fairy dressing up costume
Fairy dressing up costume
"Good grace is the real gift of the fairies;
Without it nothing is possible, with it all is possible"
Charles Perrault
The outfit comprises a dress with a bodice.
It pulls on easily so that petites fairies can dress themselves.
Fluttering wings are simply buttoned on the back so as to be removable.
As you can see, the robe twirls because that is what you need to make the magic work...
A pretty wand for granting wishes, decorated with pois plumes in pretty colours.
The dress is in one piece. The underskirt is attached to it.
I can also imagine it in less fairy-like fabrics to make a festive dress for Seasonal parties.
And why not in pretty cottons for a bridesmaid's dress.
The pattern contains details and diagrams for making the Hairband and the wand.
This dress is a little long to make, but it has been designed to be simple to sew.
