Here we have a little dress that is practical and comfortable for warm days.

Can be both casual and elegant depending on the fabrics chosen.

Essentielle is belted on the hips.

A long narrow button placket dresses up the front.

The back is open and edged with piping.

Through the back you get a glimpse and an under layer which can be made from a contrasting fabric.

The dress can be made as a sleeveless version without the button placket (the pattern includes this variation)

Essentielle looks prettiest when made from lightweight and floaty fabrics.  Viscose would be the best choice.
